SENATOR REQUEST MEANS NO HARM TO TERRI!!!

I was sitting here doing research and heard the report on FOX News. It happened to fast that I did NOT get the details but this is what I DID GET!

A Senator on several committees requested that Terri Schiavo appear and testify in front of him within the next 10 days! This means NO HARM CAN BE DONE TO TERRI!

I will UPDATE AS SOON AS I GET THE DETAILS!!!!!

Jim King — a Jacksonville Republican who has said that allowing the first so-called "Terri's law" was the biggest mistake of his Senate presidency — led a bloc of nine Republican senators who joined Democrats to vote 21-16 against an amendment offered by Sen. Daniel Webster, R-Winter Garden, to make his bill more palatable to the chamber.

  • I may be wrong, but Terri would not ever even be able to represent herself in front of congress, since the courts have delegated a guardian for her. Michael just needs to show up.

    In other words, no crime will have been committed if they remove the feeding tube on Friday and Michael shows up before Senator Enzi's committee whenever.

    Also, didn't a few of those MLB players refuse to show up for Thursday's congressional hearings?

  • I've read this in a few places -- but not on SUWS -- about how people should be seeking to have Terri's feeding tube simply capped instead of surgically removed on Friday. The idea being that surgery is in itself risky and capping the tube would be safer to reverse, should stays be issued. Sherri have you read this too?
