Your Little Girl, and She LOVES YOU!

Every time you walk in the room, her face lights up. She smiles with her whole face, and the love for you is glowing from within. Looking deep into her eyes, you see the joy of having you near her. She LOVES balloons, and watches them float and bounce throughout the room. Each time you turn off the radio, she protests with grunts. You sing to her and she laughs.

Then one day they come. They come to tell her the news. A man in a black robe has deemed her unworthy of life. He sees fit to starve her. They come to tell her. You see the pain and panic in her eyes. She moans like an animal and struggles to be rid of her wheel chair. She wants to escape. She wants to break free. She wants to LIVE………..

They tell you it is MERCY! They tell you she is gone. She is a vegetable. You know none of it is true. Worst of all, the very system in place to protect the weakest and most vulnerable amongst us is eager to sentence her to a long and torturous death. Why? What can you do? What
WILL you do?

  • The ugliness of euthanasia! You have done an excellent job of painting this picture in a very few words, but a complete message. May your pen be mightier than some evil judge's black robe.

  • If every blogger would gather $10 from their readers and spread the word, I think you could gather enough to get her husband to back off and maybe put a fund together for his caretakers and medical providers. Why is this not being discussed? Can't we think a little bigger here, than just saving her life? What is her husbands motivation-money!

  • I must admit, it's much too late in the game for my great idea to be feasible. Back to the drawing board!

  • Along those lines, here is a proposition that has gained significant support: http://info-theory.blogspot.com/2005/02/terri-schiavo-pledge-drive.html

Please consider it -- spread the word.

  • Only now, after doing some minimal fact checking, do I realize how ineffective my idea of any sort of pledge drive is. Mr. Schiavo had previously turned down a $700K settlement offer. And he currently stands to pull in about $300K-$400K if Terri dies now. So a pledge drive of $50K is meaningless.

HEY-- DON'T SNEEZE at your idea-- It was a GREAT idea----

    this is the problem:

As I understand it- this has been tried already--

I also understand that what is truly at risk here is that if he DOES back down now- and accept money to relinguish control of Terri's Health to her parents- He will risk HUGE vilification- and with the courts, the PRO-DEATH People and all behind him- he is winning... No reason to accept it- not to mention the "STAR" status he will be able to CASH-IN ON once he is successful in getting this Precedent on the books for them.

He would NEVER accept this offer- IMHO--

BUT jlfintx-- YOU ARE tHE BOMB!!!!

    I LOVE YA!!!

Also-- if Terri's family were to embrace this ide-- I would shout it from the rooftops!

    BET ON IT!

  • The idea of ransom has noble Christian roots. Holy friars used to ransom Christians held by the Mohammedans, even taking their places, as Christ took ours on the Cross.

While money--or rather, ill-gotten money--may be the root of all evil, it is not its heart.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Please call on me whenever I may be of help--on or offline.
