Anything You Can Do, We Can Do Better

Sarah D., you are marvelous! Thank you for this exciting chapter in the ongoing saga of Washington, D.C.:

Not to be outdone by Senator Mike Enzi and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pension, the following story by USA Today emerged from the depths of the U.S. House of Representatives:

"We will issue a subpoena which will require hospice administrators and attending physicians to preserve nutrition and hydration for Terri Schiavo to allow Congress to fully understand the procedures and practices that are currently keeping her alive," House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Majority Leader Tom DeLay, and Government Reform Committee Chairman Tom Davis said in a statement. "The subpoena will be joined by a Senate investigation as well."

A few minutes later, FoxNews.com came out with their release of the story.

It appears that some of the heaviest political tricks since the election are coming to bear on the fate of Terri Schiavo. Hey, I love the image of Dueling Judges. There is a certain poetic justice here (pun intended).

Keep those prayers, calls and emails coming. Friday should be a very interesting day for all of us.

  • The subpoena gives Terri 10 days to appear before Congress. Will she last 10 days after the removal of the feeding tube? God will tell. If she doesn't, it was God's desire. I cannot say what the news will be on 3/28.

  • How PATHETIC that Charles refused to be involved. LGF could have been on the 'side of the angels'. I am so very disappointed in him. This is important to our Brave President and many fine people in the GOvt. But CHARLES DOESNT CARE ENOUGHT TO EVEN WRITE BACK.

What is wrong with him? We could have had a LIZARD ARMY.

  • I asked to talk about Terri in a post the beginning of this week on LGF and someone posted back that Charles hasn't posted anything on her to keep a war from happening. The poster referred to the movie The Passion last year that was posted on LGF and commented that the 'war' that happened on that thread would be a cakewalk compared to a thread on Terri. I did email Charles to ask if he would allow a thread or discussion on LGF and he has yet to reply.

  • Sherri, I can't thank you enough for getting involved in the fight to save Terri. You are providing essential information for those of us who feel strongly about the issues this case raises.

  • Its seems that Charles is just ignoring peoples emails and hoping they will go away because several others have also emailed Charles with no reply. I dont think there would be any war I think we would have 100,000 more supporters its so frustrating. Why cant Charles just post on it and let people decide for themselves?
