  • I believe we can expect some amazing battles in the near future. What happens, for instance, when multiple jurisdictions all decide they want the same property? City, County, State, School District, Natural Resources District, etc. That could prove really interesting. Throw in a couple of dozen Federal Agencies - this could be fun to watch.

  • Trivia:

Can a Liberal see beyond their nose?

  • Sherri,
I think this transcends the ideologies of liberals and conservatives. It is clearly demonstrative of the dangers that ensue when liberals get what they wish for. Totalitarian government activities are not good for liberals. What happens is that the left sees that they can force things on the majority by using shady government to facilitate their goals, which the liberal corporate cronies like GWB do also to empower their supporters. The real rightists oppose all government control - they only seek government protection (such as BORDERS!!!!) mandated by the Constitution.

The libs have lost control of this Supreme Court. It is in "run amok" mode, now. And the god aspect has kicked into their attitudes. Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

Here are a few more fun thoughts!

  • Sherri,
My answer to what question? Can a liberal see beyond their nose? The answer is probably no. Because, to them, the means justify the ends, unintended consequences, devastating as they may be, are rarely considered, even though they are highly predictable. The liberal side of mankind (my own included) becomes so focused on an immediate goal, or emotion, that a thorough reasoning process is abandoned. Because the extreme left refuses to even acknowledge that this is the Nature of Man, they find it hard to reconcile the issues where that nature plays itself out (again and again!).

Did I love the story? Of course, it is an entertaining little footnote on the bigger issue. But I expect nothing will come of it. When dealing with the underlying power of David Souter (Satan), it would take the Hand of God to overcome his evil deeds.

There are real solutions, but the Legislative politicians are way too wimpy to do anything right. Article III, Section 2 of the United States Constitution authorizes Congress to remove these issues from the control of the Supreme Court!
Clause 2: In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

The Supreme Court is not omnipotent as many seem to have accepted (including the cowardly Executive Wimp in the White House).

  • Help me Dude, I'm lost.

I was searching for Elvis and somehow ended up in your blog, but you know I'm sure I saw Elvis in the supermarket yesterday.

No honest really, he was right there in front of me, next to the steaks singing "Love me Tender".

He said to me (his lip was only slightly curled) "Boy, you need to get yourself a shiny, new plasmatv to go with that blue suede sofa of yours.

But Elvis said I, In the Ghetto nobody has a plasma tv .

Dude I'm All Shook Up said Elvis. I think I'll have me another cheeseburger then I'm gonna go home and ask Michael Jackson to come round and watch that waaaay cool surfing scene in Apocalypse Now on my new plasma tv .

And then he just walked out of the supermarket singing. . .

"You give me love and consolation,
You give me strength to carry on "

    Strange day or what? :-)
