I would have to finally, alas second Charlie on that one. LGF has an open thread that is all about Terri Shiavo but in name. You can maybe see Charles deferring a little by not putting up a bunch of posts, although he is ill. Having said that, I can not remember Charles not posting on account of illness since I have been reading LGF. :-)

I dont know why you keep making excuses that thread is about all kinds of things and Terri is lost in it. also many people just look at the headlines on LGF and dont have time to go through 100s of comments. Look Charles doesnt have to say exactly where he stands but he could AT LEAST give a link to Sherri's blog here or to some other blogs couldnt he? Even discardedlies if he must although i'm sure he doesnt want much to do with them after the way they attacked iron fist so badly. Look Charles has supported many conservative issues but it doensnt get more serious than this. Please Please, I know you don't want to annoy him but cant you make a public appeal on the forum and mention that you haven't heard from charles? I think that might get him moving FOR HEAVANS SAKE THIS IS GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT WAKE UP CHARLES!!!!

A couple of points:

first of all, along with Sherri, Discarded Lies has been front and center with this story, so if you care so much you would not bring up old issues to say you will not go there. This is life and death and the other was not. Secondly, Charles is friends with Evariste and Zorkmidden, and if you knew about the other issue and had followed it like you say you did, you would know that as well. I have tried and failed to get LGF involved in this, but just maybe this site and DL was a good place to do this, as it appears that the powers that be have the ball in their hands.

I believe GW has surprised many people in the past and this is what I think. I believe before the weekend is out he will get tired of waiting on Congress, and send federal marshalls in to take custody of this case and maybe the Congress will even ask him to step in. That is his power the way I have heard it. If nothing is done, the repubs can surely not count on me and on the contrary, can count on adversity with me and many others.

But he posts yet another article about that professor (does that really matter?) Anyway I see now what some have said about LGF that he doesn't like any disagreements its fine as long as everyone goes along with whatever he says and no arguements. I'm sorry but i just dont respect that.

And I'm sorry that you haven't tried harder to change his mind. You must be scared of him.

anonymouse your missing the point LGF could make an APPEAL to get involved with some links. Of course eveyrone has heard about it its DOING something that matters. I have called all the people on the lists and emailed everyone. I just think that 100,000 vistors to LGF could be asked to DO something. If only 10 per cent did something that would be 10,000 Calls or Emails which is HUGE.

The LIZARDS are always bragging about their power but when it comes down to it they'll natter on about this professor and ignore Terri who is being STARVED to DEATH.

And why doesnt Charles want to get involved (ie just post some links) becuase he doesnt want disagreement on his blog?????

Yeah, Angie you may want to check again before you decide that I have not taken this issue up at LGF. I just got slapped by Zulubaby because she decides that she has to defend Charles along with others when I one comment mostly in jest. That is pathetic and sounds like propaganda going the other way. I don't need that crap and will not miss LGF in the least. Obviously I have some deep issues that are important to me that I disagree with Charles on and he could have spoken for himself. Since he let the others speak for him, that is it for me.

Yes I see how it works jlfintx, if you say anything there even slightly critical, then all the suckups jump in to 'defend' Charles and win brownie points with him. Its like grade school trying to kiss up to teacher. how can there be any kind of debate when you have that going on. Its not a place for debate its like a hangout room. And the people there (like lady redhawk who is no lady) have this 'tude they can just tell people to 'shove it' like that crazy Tereza. Well I dont like that kind of attitude and good for your lfjintx for saying something...

Sherri if your reading this sorry i got so upset but i just think it is so wrong for LGF not to put a few links just because Charles doesnt like disagreements. I think he is very caring... about Charles. He'll put up a link to anyone dissing him in the slightest and make a huge deal about it (oh poor Charles) but nothing for Terri.

Anonymous, since you won't even sign you name, it's hard to talk to you. I've come out of LGF black and blue from the bullies that hang out there, but there are also some terrific people who post there. I do not always agree with Charles, or the topics he chooses to post (or not post), but it IS his blog. I do not think Charles is a bad man simply because he does not share my passion for saving the life of Terri Schaivo. In my opinion, you are the one displaying bullying behavior. I'm the one sick of hearing it.

Angie, do not threaten me. I could care less where you are from.

This thread is supposed to be about saving the life of a woman, not about your hatred of Charles and LGF.

I was not threatening you Lady Redhawk, you jumped in being very rude to me and I dont appreciate it. Also no-one hates Charles or LGF. It is not 'hate' to say something is wrong. And yes this is about Terri and the frustration is that LGF goes on and on about how powerful it is how much it can get done how many people visit every day and now we have this tragedy with Terri. But Charles wants to post about this goofy professor and doesnt want anything to do with the fight for Terri. Well let me tell you something: Charles has had a lot of support from conservatives including financial support. Now he turns his back on them. Yes, it's 'his' blog, but who is paying for it? Its not just 'his' blog, he depends on people for support and news tips and people telling their friends about LGF. If LGF is so great and so conservative then mark my words, if Terri doesnt make it and LGF did nothing to help LGF will lose a lot of support. And so will Congress and George and Jeb. Those are just the facts.

Angie, I really don't know why Charles feels the way that he does, and if I could sway him, I would. His blog would be great exposure for our cause. If everyone who reads LGF would e-mail the President, that would be ALOT of mail! Plus, we could really use the financial help to fund Sherri and others who are on the front lines of this fight.

I did not mean to be rude to you, or to anyone. I am on my very last nerve. It's like there is this HUGE battle going on, and it's so hard to know what to do next that would help. It's very frustrating. I too feel let down by the conservatives I have supported for so long. Sometimes I feel like standing in the street and screaming!

OK Lady Redhawk, I appreciate that. Yes, we're all on the same side. I think Charles doesnt like being thought of as a conservative for some reason, although he is. But the problem with trying to change his mind is he says 'nah' and everyone goes 'oh, no, don't bring that up, its Charles' blog' like he cant even talk for himself. And I think he likes it like that, he lets the Lizards run things sometimes. It is very frustrating. And yes, Lady Redhawk, that was my point: if LGF was involved they could help SO MUCH. But I guess another 30 posts about that dumb proffessor no one even cares about is more important.

Conservatives dont support Charles.

No, it's not just me. And yes, it will be widely known that LGF sat silent while Terri starved. I'm sure that some there wont care. Others will.

What I have noticed on this site is a lot of commentary, out of proportion to the financial contributions recorded in the side bar. $160 in 2 days? Hell, over half of that is mine on thursday. What is happening? I know some cannot afford anything, and I am equally certain that others can afford to contribute. I am not rich or even close. I am not slamming anyone, but pointing out that there is a correlation deficiency between passion and funding here. If Sherri's efforts aren't worthy of financial support, we need to say so outright. Ev on DL made a plain appeal for this support, so it isn't without credibility that it is for a good purpose. I am now asking myself for anyone who can to make a contribution. If you planned to have a few beers today, don't, and send $5 or $10 to Sherri. Please.

Frankly, all the back and forth about "charles" and LGF is about as OT as we can get, IMO. LGF is not the one starving, and charles is not the messiah, it is just a very good blog. If LGF is not in this parade, okay, they will be in another one. I am far more pissed off at my own Senator, Carl Levin(d) MI, for his interference with the bills in Congress. While he is back here on recess we will pass in the hallway at some point, and I will definitely make it a point to tell him what I think. If he will grant me 5 minutes in his office even better...but I am not holding my breath for that.

Now you lecture on unseemly conduct during a time of national distress? Money is what pays for the services we all utilize to one degree or another, including this blogg. As for the "nation"..pray tell what is "it" doing? The Congress has adjorned for recess, a few sympatheic Senators will reconvene in emergency session, in order to pass essentially temporary legislation by simple majority of members present, without quorum, so that the many can avoid voting either way. Man, I am impressed with that! It is better than nothing, but barely, and still reflects our tendancy to talk talk, rather than walk a walk. If you are happy with that performance, then you have the representation you deserve. I for one, am not.

There is already a sufficient body of civil rights legislation on the books for the Dept of Justice to enforce in rgw same manner that they intervened in MIssissippi, alabama, Arkansas, in the 60's when similar self-serving logic was used to keep legal segregation in place, even claiming the "nigras" were happier that way, and couldn't decide for themselves anyway, etc etc. *spit*

Here you have a case where the fate of one being is being determined by an individual who has a huge conflict of interest, and that being his common law wife and 2 children by that CL wife. Whether he is a good man or bad is not the point, his judgement is impinged, understandably, and he should be recused in favor of the parents, the next of kin. This is like being in divorce court in front of a judge who coincidently was dating and sleeping with your separated ex....what part of that is confusing?

Last, again for this "nation"...we are continuing to avoid discussion of honest euthanasia, which is a deliberate act resulting in a prompt death. We salve our concscience by saying we are "removing intervention" and letting nature take its course. That course includes 7 to 30 days of wasting and suffereing, well orchestrated by hospice care, including the "dignity" of having feces removed from the rectum by fingers or a stick to pry it out, the tongue swelling and the eyes drying out. If you haven't been there and done that, you have nothing to contribute to the debate. I have, including with my own father.

The only persons who should have any say in Terri's fate are those who have a demonstrated past of loving her and no conflict of interest, which removes posing politicians, judges overcome by hubris, and adulterous quasi-bigamist husbands. Only then, lacking written instructions, should a human be put to death, and then it should be by at least as humane a means as we afforded Timothy McVeigh. We care collective cowards in our avoidance of this missue, preferring to not intervene as the medics like to say, providing easy denial that we killed anything. *spit*

If this makes you proud, I am sorry for you. One day it might be you, or any of us, on the courts docket.

Wendy in Amarillo, I can not believe we are watching Terri be murdered on national television,I cannot believe our goverment is allowing a public exacution, However sense it is happening I would like to know where a person can go to sign up for jury duty, and if a person could sign up to be on a specific jury, I would like to be on the jury panel when Teries family goes after the husband and the goverment for the public murder of Terri, I would also like to know if you can give me the name of a Good lawyer, I feel as though I have be mentally tramitized by this entire ordeal not to mention the mental anguish I am now left with knowing that the very judicial system I have been told all my life would protect me would also allow my husband to murder me on live television.

Why does every station in America have that poor woman on their station.Just let her rest her last days without being watched or tampered with. There are more important things that need to dealt with such as terrorism. Everyday i wonder what will be hit next. If you want it to stop close the boarders and put the money that is given away to people that move here to actual use.
