  • I"m living in Korea and I used up my phone card calling the Agency on Aging. The woman I spoke to had NO information on this. I talked her onto the blog as we spoke. I sent an email to Terrisfight.org. Have they been in touch?

WHERE IS THE MEDIA COVERAGE ON THIS!!!

By Blogger Christina Dunigan, at 3:21 PM

  • The below agency investigates providers for violations of conditions of participation. As I said in a comment on a previous post, withdrawing hydration and nutrition without proper informed consent (prior to the guardianship) is a violation of the law:
    Office of Regulatory Services

The Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) inspects, monitors, licenses, registers, and certifies a variety of health and child care facilities.

    Contact Information
    Two Peachtree Street, N.W.

    Voice: (404)657-5700
    Fax: (404)657-5708
    Email: mapalli@dhr.state.ga.us
    Website: http://www2.state.ga.us/departments/dhr/ors/

I just got off the phone with Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services in my region. If the above state survey agency will not investigate, the CMS division of Survey and Certification should be contacted here:

    Patricia Bender
    404-562-7445

I would suggest that Georgia citizens make complaints to the state survey agency and then call Patricia Bender as well.

  • Where the heck are the media on this? There is NOTHING anywhere but World Net Daily and a bunch of blogs! It was Terri, Terri, Terri 24/7 -- but the very first case that shows the repercussions, and they're dead silent.

  • Two agencies advised me to call TROUP COUNTY ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES, DIVISION OF AGING SERVICES' SENIOR ADULT VICTIMS ADVOCATE HOTLINE at:

    1-888-774-0152.

I did so, and left messages at both the Senior Adult Victims Hotline and the Adult Protective Services hotline voicemails (two voicemails are at that line). They may have been closed, but I don't know if someone may not listen to the messages over the weekend.

There is a woman receptionist still answering at Troup County Adult Protective Services, at 706-298-7100,
who also put me through to HUGH PARTON's voicemail, a manager of some sort there, where I left a message, and she also gave me HUGH PARTON's direct fax, which goes directly to his desk, which is 706-298-7108.

I do not have a fax machine to be able to send a fax to him....CAN ANYONE SEND HIM A FAX, PLEASE?? Thank you!!

  • I am listening on the computer to Joseph Farah. There is a caller on the air saying the judge responded to her e-mail and he is claiming that WND Daily misrepresented the facts. You can listen here:

    http://www.goldenbroadcasters.com/

The show is on a break now--but hopefully the caller will expound after the break.

By Blogger Jerri Lynn Ward, J.D., at 4:50 PM

  • I tuned in sue bob, but missed that caller. I did hear the end of a poll that seemed to reflect that more people are thinking this is a murder-in-progress than not. That was interesting; I am still listening. Thanks.

Please post your info on Blogs for Terri??

    PLEASE??

    In the comment section...

BTW-- I guess the word is out now-- I am a co-author at Blogs for Terri now...

THANKS to ALL of you for helping so much..

There is NO DOUBT that this is a TEAM effort!!

    We are ALL VITAL!!!

By Blogger Straight Up with Sherri, at 5:10 PM

  • Sherri!

It's GREAT that you are a co-author at blogsforterri now!

I have posted the information over there under the comments, under the top article.

Also want to let everyone know that the Joseph Farah live online radio show is a call in show, so call in! The phone number for the show is 877-232-4855.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:18 PM

  • The judge told the caller on Joseph Farah's show that the family agreed to the guardianship and that Mrs. Mae never had a feeding tube. Joseph says that the family says that is totally false.

I got on and expounded on my position that the state survey agency should investigate this.

By Blogger Jerri Lynn Ward, J.D., at 5:23 PM

  • OKAY!

Let's get this aired out NOW!

    I talked with that Judge.

He told me it was all out of his hands- and up to the doctors per the hearing on MONDAY!

Did YOu all READ the latest Email sent by Kenneth?

I spent ALL day calling people.

Including the attorney for Kenneth- etc. The Judge was the only one I got to talk to in person- other than the lady at hospice. (She doesn't like me) I asked her a hard question and she accused me of being rude.

    LOL!

    Okay-

I asked her- "Is it policy at your Hospice to consider the next of kin to be a grandaughter over a brother or sister?"

She said "Go look at the court records."

I said, "Let's forget this specific case. I am asking you about your policy."

She said, "You are being rude and yelling at me."

I said, "No, I am asking you about your policy." (keep in mind-- NO ONE IS YELLING! NOT HER- OR I!)

Again, she said "Go look at the court records."

THIS IS NOT SOMEONE TRYING TO GET THE TRUTH OUT! THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING!

The In-House Attorney- that noticed the mistake that the Hospice made is suddenly "gone for the week."

Mae was put into ICU- then the grandaughter denied her a feeding tube and hydration and THEN had her moved to a Hospice to die.

    Get it?

Mae didn't need a feeding tube until she had compications with the surgery and was put in ICU.

Many people need a feeding tube TEMPORARILY!

Especially when they are all drugged up and unable to eat!

THIS is how I understand the facts to be.

This per MY conversation with Kenneth, and the inteview with Glenn Beck-- etc....

If you feel like you do not have enough facts- and don't want to help-- no problem. If you disagree with the way I am interpreting this info- No problem.

BUT I will work to save Miss Mae as long as I can- or until her family tells me to stop.

If her family is asking my help to save her-- THAT IS WHAT I AM GOING TO DO!

    That's ME!

By Blogger Straight Up with Sherri, at 5:39 PM

  • Sherri,
Has anyone contacted Sean Hannity at Fox yet? I'll bet he would help. Maybe even O'Reilly?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:45 PM

  • Sherri, good for you. I concur on your interpretation of the facts. Don't worry about the lady at the hospice. I called there too, and she did not like my call. But I tried to get at some truth.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:46 PM

  • Joseph Farah said that the granddaughter stands to inherit $500,000.

email addy for Georgia Attorney General

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:03 PM

  • Sherri,

Why is the local paper and the judge insisting that the family settled the case and agreed that the granddaughter should be given guardianship: http://lagrangenews.com/new.php?StoryType=full

Did family's attorney fail to explain something about the results of the hearing? Was the attorney deferring to a judge he practices before on a regular basis. This is extremely odd.

By Blogger Jerri Lynn Ward, J.D., at 6:33 PM

  • Sue Bob

    I have NO CLUE!

I talked with the judge-- he tried to tell me it was all over too-- but then I talked with Kenneth...

The judge also told me that the doctors had a conference call meeting Monday night and didn't know what they decided. THIS is now FRIDAY! We still don't know??

I mean-- Kenneth's email says it all-- I think...

Kenneth gives us the info to check fo ourselves-- the case # and everything..

The judge- I had to ask him 3 different times what was decided.. and the wording changed ALL 3 TIMES!

I do know that the JUdge was TICKED and left a nasty message to someone-- can't say who--

    "off the record"

By Blogger Straight Up with Sherri, at 6:39 PM

  • I have to go feed the kids-- but may also add this.

CAN WE AT LEAST LET THIS WOMAN LIVE UNTIL WE FIGURE IT ALL OUT!??????????

    CAN WE??

OR IS PAR TO NOW JUST YANK FOOD AND WATER AND LET THEM SLOWLY DIE WHILE WE TRY AND FIGURE OUT THE TRUTH???

I just don't recognize America any more!

By Blogger Straight Up with Sherri, at 6:45 PM

  • Sherri,

Is someone in Georgia getting the court documents? I would like to evaluate them. In general, you don't have settlements unless they are on the record (via court reporter) or memorialized in signed documents.

I'd also like to know more about the nasty comment the judge made. He may have violated judicial canons of conduct.

I wish I could be on that legal team.

By Blogger Jerri Lynn Ward, J.D., at 6:47 PM

  • Dang Anon, good job in getting the email address for the Att. Gen.!! His office wouldn't give it to me.
The media isn't picking up on this much, Glenn Beck did because of the time constraints but the local guy refused to, said it smelled too fishy..and he was all over Terri's case daily.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:13 PM

  • I just talked with Kenneth again.

WE really need to pray for him.

His mother is in ICU, but she is stable right now..

His mother told him not to worry about her today- go save my sister, Mae."

He has done about 20 radio shows today.

    PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!

THIS IS SO MUCH FOR ONE PERSON TO TAKE ON!
