Meet the Nylunds, TRUE ANGELS in the Fight to SAVE TERRI!

The Nylund’s story is one of true inspiration. They left the comfort and security of home and traveled to Tallahassee Florida to join the fight for Terri’s life and so many others that will be affected by Terri’s case. They contacted RWNJ while I was in St Petersburg so that we could meet up in Tallahassee on Sunday.

It was a windy day in Tallahassee. We stood in the courtyard, surrounded in all four directions, yet the wind was still strong and gusty. The rally was over and they had stacked their signs next to a wall in attempt to keep the wind from taking them away. This family of five is amazing. The father, Henrik had 13-month-old Micah to the front of his chest as mother Laura held Micah’s twin brother Benjamin. Their oldest son, Timothy, was a proud 3 year old showing me his leaves he had captured from the wind. His little shirt pocket was stuffed with leaves.

The entire family has been standing outside the Capitol each day for almost 3 weeks, while they stay in a small two-room apartment. Henrik said that some of the elected Representatives have been quite discouraging, “They come and say ‘Sorry, but we don’t agree with you.’” Despite this, this incredible family stays on; fighting the fight. They have made GREAT sacrifices to stand in for Terri and give her a voice. A voice that pleads for compassion and cries out to be heard, demanding the justice entitled to ALL AMERICANS and guaranteed by our Constitution. I am greatly humbled by their heroic example of what it means to have the courage and commitment to stand up to evil and defend the helpless. God bless them.

Please visit their blog. I understand they will be meeting with Governor Jeb Bush personally. They write, “I would like to personally bring this to Jeb Bush and implore him to act whether or not HB 701 passes in time.”

  • Much too flattering she is, that Sherri.

While we've had some discouraging comments from representatives, we've had more positive than negative.

I don't know that I'll get a chance to see Jeb Bush, but I sure do want to try.

You may find my latest update on HB 701 here.
