WASHINGTON – Intelligence gathered from captured al-Qaida documents and interrogations of captured operatives has provided the U.S. with some specific information about Osama bin Laden's favored dates for his decade-long plan for an "American Hiroshima" nuclear terrorist attack – and one of those dates arrives this week.

One of the most frequently cited dates is Aug. 6, the anniversary of the U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima. Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of that attack, so this Aug. 6 would have special significance, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence newsletter that has broken several major stories tracking al-Qaida's nuclear terrorism plans.

  • This is crazy. They seem to know where and when this attack is supposed to occur, but no one is checking in to it for sure. This seems like a 9/11 attack all over again. They know the information but letting it go like its a joke...

  • O.k. seeing as it is August 10th and no bomb exploded on August 6th, you have to take everything you read with a grain of salt. Plus, I am not trying to smart or anything but one of the points of terrorism seems to be the element of surprise. So, if we found out the terrorists plans, the smartest thing for them to do would be change it. The terrorist want us to be afarid of getting on the subway or on an airplane. In essence, they want us to be afarid to live our life.-D.R. 6868

  • I feel just cause a date is giving about a bomb going off means nothing. We should be ready for any thing. Knowing a date of something happening could only mean that the terrorist just changed the plans and decided on another date. (TB8068)
