Hey Babs and Friends, Here's Yer Sign!

Do any of you remember the popular comedy routine "Here's Your Sign" by Bill Engvall? One of my favorite bits on the CD was about a moment he shared with his son. In an attempt to correct his son, he says "We don't hit!" and whacks his son on top of his head. It is so funny because it is so typical of some of the silly things we parents do and say. The irony is blatant. The hypocrisy is clear. No one likes hypocrisy, and yet we have all been guilty of it at some time or another. Sometimes we catch it ourselves, but more often we only see it when it is pointed out by others. Unfortunately, at times we are so steeped in our own hate, agenda, or blind rage, we either justify it or refuse to see it.

Political correctness, partisanship, and hatred have lead us down a dangerous road. Debating issues has become impossible. The left is intent on insisting that conservatives be labeled and yet claim to hate labels. The rhetoric has been basted in name-calling and outright hateful labels. We are called homophobes, racists, Nazis, rednecks, stupid, warmongers, oppressors, and hate speakers. Could you imagine a Republican saying that the poor black voters that vote Democrat are stupid? But it is okay to call the Red-States voters inbred rednecks, or the WalMart shoppers. The temper tantrum being pitched by a party out-of-control has turned into an attack on hard-working Americans that refuse to be ashamed of spreading the freedoms the liberals both use and yet condemn. Danger is lurking. Violence is growing. Will they get a grip before someone is seriously hurt or killed, and will the conservatives be able to resist stooping to their level. Will we be able to continue offering the olive branch once churches are vandalized? Will we be able to continue moving forward and reaching across the aisle when vile name-calling turns into physical assaults. Brace yourselves, it is beginning. I urge the conservatives to stand tall and strong, without answering violence from our fellow Americans with violence against them.

We are on the brink of watching free speech in America become grounds for assault. It is time for leaders to take a brave stand in protecting ALL of us. The stories are out there, but the MSM are not covering them. The stories are a window into the future if something is not done soon. Here are the stories you are not hearing:

Chris Finarelli could barely believe his own eyes last Wednesday. As Vice President of the College Republican Club at San Francisco State University, Finarelli showed up at the student union building that morning to help table and distribute literature to solicit new club members after President Bush’s victory the previous election day. What he found was a noisy and menacing mob of over 300 Palestinian, Arab, Muslim and radical leftist students surrounding his club’s table being held back by 13 San Francisco State police officers. The police officers were forced to surround the CR’s table both in front and in back in order to protect the conservative students’ safety. FrontPageMag.
